TKG is dedicated to protecting the confidentiality and privacy of information entrusted to it. As part of this fundamental obligation, TKG is committed to the appropriate protection and use of personal information (sometimes referred to as “personally identifiable information” or “PII”) that has been collected online. Generally, our intent is to collect only the personal information provided voluntarily by online informers so that we promptly and smoothly manage grievances for a clean ethical culture in TKG.

When you register or submit personal information to TKG, we will use this information in the manner outlined in this privacy statement. ※ TKG understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. In particular, our sites are not intentionally designed for or directed at children under 14. Our policy is never to knowingly collect or maintain information about anyone under 14, except as part of an engagement to provide professional services.
Methods of collecting personal information
TKG collects the personal information from users when they sign up for membership and/or reports any ethical incidents.
3. Retention of Personal Information
TKG policy is to retain personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in the section “Purposes for which TKG process personal data.” To meet our professional and legal requirements, establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights, and for archiving and historical purposes, we need to retain information for significant periods.

4. Destruction of Personal Information
TKG strictly destroys personal information immediately after the expiration of the personal information retention period or achieving the “Purposes for which TKG processes personal data” by following destruction methods.
1. Destruction Process: Personal information that already achieved the purposes is deleted without hesitation in case there are no requirements in other regal statements.
※ Destruction Method: Personal information stored in electronic form is securely deleted by technical means to prevent its recovery or restoration, while written information is shredded or incinerated.
※ If TKG needed to store the information for an exceeded period under the provisions of statuses, TKG separately stores and manages the personal data.
5. Provision of Personal Information
TKG does not provide personal information to the outside without the consent of users. However, personal information is provided in limited circumstances if a user personally agrees to provide his/her personal information to use the service of an outside partner, if TKG becomes obliged to submit personal information under the relevant laws and regulations, or in cases where personal information is provided in a form that cannot identify a specific individual as necessary for purposes such as statistics and academic research, a separate consent procedure may not be required.
6. Entrustment of Personal Information
TKG entrusted part of its work necessary to provide outside companies, stipulates the matters necessary for the entrusted party to safely process personal data, and carries out management or supervision to ensure such safe processing, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act. Article 26.

7. Rights of Users and Exercising Those Rights
1. TKG processes personal information about you, you have the following rights :
a. Request to access the Personal Information
b. Suspension of processing of Personal Information
c. Revoke the consent of collection and use of Personal Information
2. Exercising the rights of users
a. The exercise of rights according to the above can be submitted to the department in charge in writing, e-mail, fax, etc. after filling out the request for access to personal information [Attachment 8] of the personal information management policy. The corresponding action is taken within 10 days, and if there is a reason for refusal or restriction, the reason for the restriction or refusal and how to appeal will be notified within 5 days.
b. If a user requests the correction of errors in his/her personal information, the relevant personal information will not be used or provided until the correction is made.
c. The request of ‘Access and processing of personal information’ may be restricted in accordance with Article 35(5) and Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act. If other laws specify that personal information is to be collected, you cannot request correction or deletion of personal information.
d. TKG will check whether the person who made the request of access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing is the legitimated user according to the rights of the information subject.
8. Actions taken to protect personal information
TKG makes every effort to securely manage and protect personal information.
1. Administrative actions
a. TKG has established and implemented an internal privacy management plan.
b. TKG operates the annual information security training for the manager of personal information
c. Actions are undertaken to control access to and restrict the right to access personal information
2. Technical actions
a. Personal information is being encrypted for safe storage and transmission and grant the differential access rights for need-to-be-approach personal can approach the data.
b. Actions are taken to store personal information access records and prevent any forgery and tampering.
c. TKG adopted and installed the security program to prevent unauthorized leakage of personal information.
3. Physical actions
a. TKG installs systems in areas such as server and data storage rooms with restricted access from the outside, and establishes and operates access control procedures.

10. Amendment of Privacy Policy
1. This policy is affected by March 01, 2022. TKG will occasionally update this Privacy Notice to reflect changes in our practice and local law. When we post changes to this Privacy Policy, Users will be notified of any addition, deletion, and/or modification in this Privacy policy on TKG Taekwang’s ethical management web page(http://ethics.tkgroup.co.kr).
